Our charter rates for the 2009 season reflect the current high cost for fuel, which is our largest expense. However, due to the rising and uncertain nature of fuel prices, Swelltime Charters has instituted the following fuel surcharge structure for the 2009 season. This fuel surcharge is based on the price of fuel at the time of your charter and will be assessed at check-in. Should the price of marine fuel remain under $5.00 per gallon there will be no additional fuel surcharge.

This will ensure that we are able to take you to the best fishing grounds without regard for the cost of fuel or how far we must travel. Therefore, you can feel confident that, as always, we will provide you the ultimate fishing experience. Swelltime Charters refuses to limit the range of our trips in order to save fuel. We will not compromise the quality of our trips.
If Fuel Price is: Surcharge is - per person, per day:

$5.00 to $5.50 per gallon $5.00 per person/day
$5.51 to $6.00 per gallon $10.00 per person/day
$6.01 to $6.50 per gallon $15.00 per person/day
  • All charters are full day trips lasting approximately 10-11 hours.
  • Prices are subject to 7% Kenai Borough sales tax, $3.50/person port fee, and fuel surcharge.
  • Advanced reservations required with 50% deposit required to confirm reservation, with full payment before trip departure.
  • Payments are fully refundable with 14 days written cancellation notice or if charter is cancelled due to unsafe weather or sea conditions, mechanical failure, or for other reasons beyond our control.
  • Swelltime Charters is not liable for any expenses incurred beyond the charter fare.
  • Duration and range of trips are based on weather and sea conditions. In inclement weather, the location, range, and/or target species of the trip may be modified at the sole discretion of the vessel's captain.

    We accept cash, personal checks, travelers checks, MasterCard, and Visa.
    We highly recommend trip insurance.

We do require that all trips be paid in full in advance. We accept Master Card, Visa, Traveler's Checks, personal checks and with proof of ID, cash.

Cancellations do require a 14-day notice to receive a full refund.

If the Captain cancels a trip due to weather, you will receive a full refund or reschedule.

Swelltime Charters is not responsible for any other expenses other than that for the price of the fishing charter.
